Continuing Professional Education Credits

Earn up to 18.5 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits at Sage Summit 2009. Most keynotes and sessions qualify. It is our goal to provide accounting professionals the most cost-effective way to fulfill their mandatory CPE requirements.

Sage is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of Continuing Professional Education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to:

CPE Credits FAQ

Q. How can I earn Continuing Professional Education credit at Sage Summit?
A. All educational conference sessions are eligible for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits equal to 1.0 credits for 60 minute sessions, 1.5 credits for 90 minute sessions, and 2 credits for 120 minute sessions. By attending a full schedule of qualified sessions, participants can earn up to 18.5 CPE credits at Summit

Q. What are the required procedures I need to complete at Summit?
A. There are required procedures that you must complete during the conference to ensure your participation is documented. Each session is assigned a session code that enables Sage to track participation in that session. At some time during the conference, you will need to stop by one of the new print-on-demand kiosks to enter details about your conference participation. You will need your conference schedule so you can easily note the session codes and verify titles and durations. A list of all session codes will be available at the kiosks, which will be marked "On-Demand Printing of CPE Letters."

Q. When will I receive my certificates of participation at the Conference?
A. Instant gratification! No more snail mail! The new print-on-demand kiosks enable you to print out your CPE certificates the same day you earn them. You can also print your certificates on demand through an online option that’s available after the conference. Either way, you will receive a letter that documents the sessions attended with the corresponding session time length (sessions are 60, 90, or 120 minutes). You may then submit this documentation to claim continuing education credit through the association(s) of your choice. Keep in mind, state boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.

Q. What type of continuing education credit is available for participation at Sage Summit?
A. All educational conference sessions are eligible for recommended CPE credit.

Q. What Field of Study relates to CPE credit?
A. All sessions will qualify for the Field of Study as “Specialized Knowledge and Applications.”

Q. What is the Delivery Method of the sessions as they relate to CPE Credit?
A. The delivery method for all sessions at Summit is “Group—Live.”
